Dissolver formed in December 2008 out of the ashes of James Ambrose and Mike Taklender’s previous band Electromagnetic. As veterans of such bands as The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Smallstone, Sunstorm and the Sid Hillman Quartet, Dissolver’s sound is reminiscent of forebears Elliot Smith, My Bloody Valentine, Nirvana and The Pixies while avoiding a dated or derivative sound.
