as i sat sadly by her side, nick cave + dave cloud
nicky writes how much he loves the dungen
i wrote subliminal asking for one of everything, for my mom, almost embarrassed to want a "CD" when everything is so obviously free here in the free culture.
but the album art
the quaintness of it---for christmas---for my mother---so she can know the sweetness
i feel so indebted to gustav, as though i've not adequately extolled his genius. i was raving to my mom about what he'll be doing in 20 years---conducting modern classical scoring or??? total genius and such infectious optimism!!!!
also dream of the impossible dungen cover band---overdoing it as usual!!!!!
total liberation
break free!
especially life on earth! and the amazing (do they have it?)
i love this:

record company decoy duds on TPB cute thinking!
oh my gosh and svart ar himlen!
indeed they are .......
who was saying what about tame impala, like they are dungenesque? hmm or dungen lite? or dungen in english? where did i read that . . . .
i used to have this cool friend when i was 21, brian boling from the marxist study group.
he was valedictorian of hundreds, and a librarian . . . quiet, with glasses
wormwood told him what to do . . .
he liked goya . . .
now i see why, finally . . .
he loved heavy music from the nineties. it was merely 1999.
and he introduced me to serge gainsbourg. i would beg to hear "bonnie and clyde" again and again on vinyl. he smoked a lot of cigarettes and so did i. and then the kitty cat fur would make for an asthmatic psychedelic experience.
it was very, "as i sat sadly by her side"
we would go to the dave cloud shows at the springwater. brian played trumpet.
dave cloud reminded me of my dad's friends ted yeatman and john moran.
classic southern aristocrat dandies.
that belle meade accent.
wow what a website
it was so nice of brian to be my friend when the world had me down, and the classic authorities were reigning terror on my devil's haircut . . .
i didn't really care for psychedelic then. i think it took dungen to make me care.
as if you could call any music such a thing.
i liked more fast punk sounds. sneaking in to indinet, confused because all i knew was debussy and ravel and shostakovitch, and i knew i really loved punk at heart, though i'd barely heard it.
or all that bad MTV and VH1 before catholic schools! the best! guns and roses!
maybe all i liked was bob dylan's desire.
around 1999
i think music had lost all meaning.
brian even pretended to be vegetarian to impress me. that was nice.
i don't get it, none of it.

dave cloud and the gospel of power!
he was like, the andy clockwise of hip 2000s nashville.
everyone worshipped him for somewhat ineffable reasons. he created an aura of celebrity or charisma.
