frontline club goes vegetarian and filming the moment of death
frontline restaurant
i asked them to explain to the boss that vegans exist and that we blog about such things
perhaps
in ten years or twenty years
when all our political prisoners have wasted away in prison
i explained
i am an animals rights activist and a human rights activist
and i would like to be here
but i don't want to talk about human rights over a dead rabbit.
we are a niche market, there should be one real vegetarian item, no butter, no cheese
we do exist
we have for 100 years (more like 4000)
i said well maybe in ten years
i'll eat the vegan food at frontline club
if i don't kill myself first
the bartender assured me he'll tell a manager
i was tenderized over the bill neely affair
i was concerned when he blithely explained
about censoring the actual moment of death
they don't need to see someone's head blown off

he says_____you mustn't show the moment of death
i think thats fair enough
people dont need to see brains flying_____
(i disagree)
he then says there are no hard and fast rules there are times some people need to see a
little more
about the screen going black at the point of murder
and the requirement that the death not be shown.
he talked of his war reporting career of twenty years.
regarding the screen going blank at the moment of death
in terms of his role in the frontline of war

collateral murder question
"thank you for being here
could you describe the uh situation about
when people die
the moment of death
and how that moment of death in terms of the video transmission would
pertain to collateral murder
and whether or not
its necessary to see those moments of death"
i'm not sure what you meant by collateral murder
i responded:
"i meant the massacre of civilians or the reporters the reuters reporters in the wikileaks release
and in a sense i'm asking you because your position is a different position
what are the necessities regarding the public
maybe a higher moral authority."
"we have a duty to show life and death" he said
he said he fought with editors over this
he said that with the relay of collateral murder footage, more seconds of death were shown than before.
he mentioned the distance of the cameras from the apache helicopters
and the fact of no on-the-ground sound.
not a hard and fast rule
