many thanks and condolences to the two brave male military veterans who came out to me on twitter about their experience being raped in the military.
it takes a lot of bravery to come out about being raped.

there is something very insidious about

when your commander is raping you.

the question of compensation has shown that male military rape victims are more likely to be better compensated for their trauma than women survivors.
but these veterans said their suffering was not acknowledged or remunerated::::: money being a cruel insult as government payment for a rape.
a woman i met who does bradley manning campaigns in portland oregon told me the veterans administration did not adequately help her with her military rape related trauma.
