Astoria Oregon water's fluoride water additive from Onoda Chemical Industry Company from Chiyodaku Tokyo Japan

as per telephone the company Onoda from Tokyo Japan supplies the fluoride concentrate which contains heavy metal particulate which settles into bottle of tanks and is regularly cleaned.

less than.04% heavy metals in the powdered fluoride concentrate.

product comes in grains.

i spoke with him about Swedish medical authority opinion that fluoride and fluorosis are unhealthy and the medical doctors who got fluoride removed from the lovely swedish water in the 1980's..

also about our struggle in Portland.

asked if consumers may opt out of the Fluoride medical treatment if it is unsuitable for pre-existing condition.

clearly mass-dosing non-consenting adults and children is a violation of medical ethics.

i suggested Japan could be seeking revenge for Hiroshima, in poisoning the most beautiful town in America, on the river where we dumped the Manhatten project.

that was a tense breath or two.

he then exclaimed he feels safe feeding fluoride water to his kids.

i explained my dad's early demise due to neurodegeneration and the high fluoride toxicity of nashville's brackish "cumberland punch."

explained a neurological issue of a friend.

who knows maybe fluoride is a sedative?

i asked eric about the fact of the fluoride being a toxic waste product from the aluminum industry and its harm to persons with dementia or neurological health issues.

he described the source of the water and the source of the Astoria Oregon water's fluoride water additive as Onoda Chemical Industry Company from Chiyodaku Tokyo Japan
he is located at 550 30th street

Mary,

Thanks for your interest in the water quality operations for the City.  The City has been adding fluoride to our drinking water since the mid 1950’s.  The addition of fluoride was approved by a vote of the citizens.  In the beginning the fluoride dose was 2.0 ppm.  Over the years, it has been determined that a continuous fluoride dose of 0.7 ppm is sufficient to have a positive impact the dental health of children in a community while minimizing adverse health effects.

We understand that the addition of fluoride to the drinking water can sometimes be a contentious issue.  The Astoria Public Works does not take a stand on the issue of fluoridation.  We encourage our patrons to educate themselves on the health effects of fluoridation so that they may make informed decisions about the water they are drinking.

Here are a few links with information about the City’s water system and about fluoridation:

1.        Oregon Health Authority Drinking Water Program  http://public.health.oregon.gov/HealthyEnvironments/DrinkingWater/Pages/index.aspx
2.       City of Astoria online data from the OHA https://yourwater.oregon.gov/inventory.php?pwsno=00055
3.       Fluoride information from the EPA http://water.epa.gov/drink/contaminants/basicinformation/fluoride.cfm
4.       Fluoride information from the CDC http://www.cdc.gov/fluoridation/faqs/
5.       Health.gov website on fluoridation http://health.gov/environment/ReviewofFluoride/

There are many more websites with useful information.  As I said on the phone, the City’s drinking water meets and exceeds all EPA standards for fluoride.  But keep in mind, that a small percentage of people may have adverse reactions to certain chemicals and contaminates that may be in the drinking water.

You had mentioned that you might drink bottled water to avoid the fluoride.  Many bottled water companies treat the water that is delivered to them from the municipal water supplier.  Depending on their treatment methods, the fluoride may or may not be removed.  If you would like to have any bottle water tested for fluoride, we can do that for you here at our shops.  Just let me know so we can set up a time to do that.

I also want to thank you for volunteering to take a sample of your tap water for the upcoming lead and copper tests that the City has to perform.  These tests are done every three years and samples are taken 20 homes and businesses throughout the city.  As we get closer to the test date, I will send you a letter detailing the test and I will drop off a bottle for the sample.

Please feel free to contact me with any other questions you may have.  Thank you,
