Copperpeace

How and why some people ascend meteoric glory and exponential expansion of success is beyond me. One such person is Johnna Lynn Gross. Johnna has her fashion art on some of the scintillating stars and up-and-comers of the musical moment. She is gearing up for festival season. Her work under her company moniker Copperpeace entails handpainted guitarstraps and fashion neckties.
We got to talk fashion last night at the Thunder from Heaven show. We chatted about Prada, Viktor and Rolf, Gareth Pugh, Dolce and Gabbana, and domain names. She is a well spring of good ideas.
I loved the gorgeous gold lame strap on guitarist Nick Maybury. Johnna told me about the pre-Grammys nerve-wracking experience of hoping the right star would wear her fashion art at the right moment. I first met her at her opening at the posh mysterious Beverly Hills Gibson Showroom, where gallant and elusive Peter Leinheiser helps outfit the world’s biggest stars with the best equipment. What better place to display her beautiful uniquely hand-painted guitar-straps?
Johnna Gross is young and has a furious dedication to her art, which is obviously encoded with her passion for peace and music. I am so touched to know her and thrilled that her peace action art be decorating beautiful musical luminaries of 2009.
And with a long life ahead of her, what other realms might Johnna Gross of Copperpeace conquer?
See her fashion art on girl-kisser Katy Perry and Lil Wayne and other exciting artists.
