wonder about garbage and propaganda

why we needed the garbage

an why the environment doesn't have better propaganda

and why nice air or cleaner ecosystem isn't desirable enough . . .

why LA does not have modern universal mandatory recycling?

we are twenty years behind portland and seattle . . .

what's up LA?

shouldn't we be ashamed . . .

as we choke down the mind numbing smoke of the week's fires . . . are brain cells dying as we inhale this smoke air . . . and is the panic of asphyxia the motivating rush of angelenos . . . is this our true addiction, smog-addiction . . . and the lightheadedness and short sentences, the easy smokey ways of dying brains, inept to sort out their own destruction, the fires, or recycling, or the city's poor on cruel and intolerable streets . . . grit and vomit, a place to lay a human head . . . broken glass . . . and no compassion . . . and no shame . . . the poverty obliterating the grandeur of the nouveau riche diamonds and spectacle of the sadist elite . . . the survivors . . . the air-conditioned . . . SUV driving, ostrich-eating hip-phonies . . . how i love them too and wonder if we could start working together . . .

makes me think of george grosz's portraits of the future nazi's with their burgerlich teacup heads and bloated sense of self-worth, eyeing the latest ego-food in the press . . .
