Conceptual Artist / Photographer

Born native to the Los Angeles area, Yaunee has also had the opportunity to live in Atlanta, GA and Hawaii for periods of her life. She realized that living closer to the natural world gave her a clearer sense of self. A hands on approach has been her preferable way of learning as Yaunee subscribes predominately to the school of life. Presently studying the nature of the mind through Buddhist practice, she has decided to add as much beauty in as many places as possible. She currently works as a landscape artist creating warm nurturing environments in the city. Yaunee has always known herself to be an artist but has waited many years for a divine expression and outlet that could warm many hearts. She is humbly grateful for this opportunity to share the vision that was given to her from the great spirit.

Balance in Black & White is a photographic art installation featuring images of acceptance, benevolence, and overstanding between people of light and dark skin all over this world. The aim of Balance in Black and White is to invoke a transformative energy that will offer an opportunity for people to see themselves and one another from a sacred perspective at this vital turning point in our human existence. Balance in Black and White does not advocate that all Black people and all White people think or behave in any one way when it comes to their respective race. Nonetheless, it aims to ease the daily discomfort experienced between many people in our contemporary society through a variety of representative portrayals. The innovative installation of photographs in Balance in Black and White, will showcase acts of selflessness demonstrated beyond customary stereotypes. These depictions will help to remind viewers that despite indications otherwise, the two groups are not naturally inclined towards segregation, rather that all of us have been subjected to messages that have distorted our humanity. What the Black and the White people will accomplish together will astound your imagination for world peace and prosperity. Balance in Black and White, will encourage both groups and those in between to give into their real selves.
