dan diamond told me the opera singers are suing LA Opera for dangerous costumes.

all the rage is talking about wagner's sonic magic to spite his anti-semitism.
the big collective guilt.
so if LA opera is spending 32 million, how much would that be divied up among los angeles' 100, 000 + homeless per person?
if we had no opera and no homeless---wouldn't that be lovely????

beautiful sidewalks without the daily crucifixions of poverty on the streets, which you aren't supposed to notice from your lexis on the way to hear some anti-semitic opera.

my old dead blog "packaged people" showed the sleeping forms of the L.A. homeless as similar to this packaged art concept

reichstag.
bad vibes come even through the tarp!!!!!  even through the internet, many miles away!!!!
how can architecture be so intrinsically connected to genocide so as to demand demolishing?

one look at berlin and fassbinder's early death seemed the way---the most oppressive odor of genocide lingers in the dank air.

poverty and its conspicuous consumption as a performance art project of a sadistic culture.

hmmm.

i like the way wagner sounds.
i saw the rheingold and the costumes were grotesque and one creepy paper mache emphasizing a bikiniclad plastic surgery victim caricature was so absurd to cause me to lose faith in the design.

i'm glad if someone is suing the opera for bad design.  they deserve it.
it made me ashamed  . . . it was quite hokey.  that was october 2009.

poor old antisemite wagner would croak if he saw the staging which was so sunset strip on acid if you ask me!

it was tres L.A. and i don't mean that in a good way.
