but generally over the internet.

making mini films of all the nothingness around the river. digital divides.  broadband divides. portland is a place that causes me to ponder homelessness.  long term chronic homelessness.

this art is at the sisters of the road cafe.

of life at minimum wage, and the starving naked children underneath the corporate food counter.
los angeles has a lot of homelessness too.
when people get jaded to ideas like food not bombs, it really is about the end compassion.
listened to ane brun today.

and thunder from heaven.
stealing all of your drugs---new upload.

falling in love with all the books at the goodwill.  most of all i wanted the edith wharton age of innocence, the frida khalo, the anais nin incest.  i wanted to take the whole wall of books home.
rebecca black said i was like anais nin.   that was sweet.  but i wanted books in another language.  not english.
internet.
google books.
stieg larsson audio in swedish.
all the classics make me sad i remember my father and childhood when i see them.  they seem empty and linear and old and terrifying.
like the scene in howard's end, when leonard bast gets killed by the bookshelf of heavy books.
and then i found somerset maugham's of human bondage, which i think of often.
and thought to get it as a gift.
but then, he begins referencing proust.  perhaps its proust i need.
stopped by storage to work on collages.
they are coming along super.  lots of dali, otto dix, kandinsky, japan, helena, neue sachlichkeit, hunter thompson, ralph steadman, french, fairies, fruit, jewels, ticket stubs, glitter, giraffes, nick cave's the mercy seat,  tamara de lempicka, van gogh, joycean prosepoems i cared about writing in the nineties . . .
i might just as well throw it in the river!  or somebody else's river!
fun making them because they have specific content i want to convey---for specific people---but everything happens in chaos.
one is dark, and one is light
inspired by eliot wilcox, bianca kawecki and john baugh's elaborate collage styling
and hannah hoch!
want more dadaist collaging!
want to destroy some dada/surrealism books and make the wildest dada/surrealist collage of all time!
reminds me of the state of mind making art for cam powell and his expressed appreciation.
material visual illusions, juxtaposition, and total emptiness . . .
consumer mockery.
so happy about collages.   they contain journals going back to 1997. its kind of like having a daytime art studio.  just a square of space---in a prison-like atmosphere.  a storage unit with art supplies and more emptiness.

learned sachverhalt in wittgensstein class yesterday
