sonje akesson night and bob hansson tribute and intriguing url's
so excited to read that sonja akesson was also a collage artist, like my beloved hannah hoch.
her collages might still be on display at the stockholm city library.
that would be so nice to see.
here is the album version of the music i heard last night:
http://cdon.se/musik/various_artists/sonja_%C3%A5kesson_tolkad_av..._(cd%2Bbook)-12772639
techie from playgroundmusic.com might have footage/pics from the akesson night at sodrateatern.
he described the travails of lighting issues and staff. we all need staff!
five extra cameramen, programmers, assistants.
http://blogs.playgroundmusic.com/intlpub/
ane brun attended in support.
a glorious night of sonja akesson
anna von hausswolff finale moved me to tears
i wrote her that i work for love and passion and art and would love to help in any way. she is so the next big thing.
anna jarvinen's voice is unbelievably adorable, it feels like strawberry ice cream, something sweet, delicious, amazing . . . ? sweetness, and her gracefulness, and the way she sways as she sings!
the singer with the gold shoes, i spoke with regarding how refreshing, a night of so many strong women.
i mentioned how this pertains to a pet peeve i have regarding male domination of music industry.
she mentioned, that the musicians were all men, though.
we need more "rock and roll camp for girls" even in sweden
http://www.girlsrockcamp.org/
how delighted could i feel to get a press pass from the amazing floor manager to a feminist poet's works interpreted in such a true stylistic, theatrical atmosphere. i could feel very clearly, the geographical production of art. geomagnetic forces make a hold on this hill, where sits sodrateatern.
and the poetry of an era.
the crowd was very special, gorgeous girls stormed the men's room in defiance of the long line for the women's room.
sweden!
in between the music, came poetic spoken performance of the works.
my favorite was the "one must do this" poem. where is the digitized sonja?
and let's not die of liver cancer!
http://www.unt.se/kultur/sonja-akesson-hyllas-pa-skiva-1125809.aspx
lucky to feel magic here, with the crisp air opening up my mind.
i was overwhelmingly star-struck to speak to ane brun, and tell her like a crying child, how her music affects me. and anna von hausswolff was so kind to me. her stage presence is somehow for me distinctly reminiscent of rebecca stout of nashville.
i was almost spilling my tea, my hands shook so, when she took me down to the green room.
there i met reine fiske, who i asked of some collages sent to a post box. they are in a pile of a "things I don't what to do with." then went to find his mother.
she was strong and tall and beautiful and quick and decisive and to see them speaking was amazing.
she and i agreed to see each other soon, on wednesday.
i wonder about people's mothers. i often think of them.
and to hear reine discussing in swedish compositional effects regarding the upcoming hansson show was so neat. perfectionism!
happily the producer for the bo hansson show had a ticket for me for the wednesday night show tribute with gustav ejstes(!) and reine on the bill. stefan explained in addition to reine would be two other superb guitarists, people who reine looks up to, his heroes.
oh my gosh.
i showed reine my press pass, and said hey do you want to interview, and he said "no comment" and i said, "well that makes my job easy." but i could tell he wanted to talk, and he is such a great talker, as i have read so many of the interviews . . .
wednesday 26 january eve this:
http://www.mellotronen.com/melloclub/bohansson.html
there were only seven tickets left . . .

when i then proceeded to stampen to hear the cool blues band and the amazing isabelle lundgren

got a lot of facebook peer pressure tonight.
almost relenting on my fierce antifacebook stance.
but i'm an email/skype/blog in the open not on secret facebook cliques, kind of person.
okay and after one great night already, i then went to stampen, where i heard brian kramer band with isabelle lundberg
and met an amazing political genius in a dungen t-shirt!!!!! with whom i might speak, olaf palme, extrajudicial assassination, CIA,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anna_Lindh
of anne lindh, it was the sell out of sweden to the CIA, that had her killed, he thinks
--- he sang for her funeral in a choir---

sweden as the 51st state, a quick affirmation

swedish human trafficking in women from economically oppressed countries, and the men from high position in swedish society who purchase their service and do not care about the economic exploitation and racism implicit---he said he was so ashamed, so regretfully and forlornly----
and i ask
and there is no one to help them?---that stieg larsson is gone, but he cared about this, human trafficking, abuse of women, nazi-ism
we speak:

he was shocked to hear my dismal report on sexism in america. its easy when you have a somewhat fair society, to assume that that would be so, elsewhere. very reasonable, yet utterly fictitious.
even the vulgar bawdy sexist UK gents i met out and about the last night reminded me, how sans pareil the eloquent gentle egalitarian techie swedes are . . . so far never rude. they are so well trained! i keep telling the swedish women they are to have so much gender equity and and such incredibly respectful men.
it is so wonderful to feel. that is how my father was, civilized and gracious and kind, critical of sexism and racism in the south, as i read his last novel, i understand the depths of his revulsion for the entire american forcefield of oppression and propaganda and hatred and greed, child abuse.
the film: Evil
about child abuse in sweden.
i cannot believe how wonderful it is not to hear every five words a vulgar curse word like in america.
or even from professors, or regarding the workplace harassment.
he said it was nice to hear someone speak of conscience regarding the disastrous american torture/war programme
it was such an intellectual synthesis, very rapid. and i asked if he was a law student.
he said no he studies to be a priest. lutheran.
i was so in awe. because when he spoke, everything coiled round an ethical core, the way it is when julian assange speaks of human rights. a very rare feeling of total integrity.
the repetitive refrain, regarding human rights abuse . . .
it is rare that things stay so intellectual, 700 years of university here, he says go to school here
and i say that i want to very much
but the laws make it a little more difficult now, especially if you aren't rich
mattias0114 of "the crazy swedish guy productions" and i were speaking of Dan Bull. super kudos shout out to dan bull!
http://www.youtube.com/mattias0114
and mattias uploaded his cool audio file of the rasmus fleischer jesper huor discussion on netfreedom.
there is something in the air regarding internet . . .
i wrote rasmus that i would love to babysit and teach the little one yoga, french, german, or i forgot to mention critical theory, or postmodernism . . . or vice versa . . .
wouldnt that be nice, to be nanny of a (future) genius.
but arent all humans?
