Fatal Jamz on the Chameleons: Marion Belle of L.A. synthpop project Fatal Jamz told us about his love for a Chameleons gem.

Marion Belle: When I was writing the new Fatal Jamz record, starting around 2019, I was really inspired by The Chameleons, Script of the Bridge.

It’s a true album, album and it’s one of the most beautiful guitar records I’ve ever heard. For me it stands the test of time as an artist, as an adult, and it’s still so mysterious, captivating.

There’s nothing that really sounds anything like that music, the melodies and the emotions, the words and the twists and turns.

In it I hear a band of friends trying to capture the essence of youth before it slips away forever.

Fatal Jamz on the Chameleons: Fatal Jamz’s “Taste the Rain”single is out now.

Press bio:

“Its dancehall pulse and soaring hook showcase an elevated return to the group’s signature “pleasure wave” sound, filled with haunted longing. With it’s high drama and poised elegance, the track effortlessly evokes the era of George Micheal, Sade, and the Eurythmics, hinting at what’s to come from the band later in 2022 and into next year. Lead singer Marion Belle and company are back to claim the mantle as one of their generation’s most seminal, yet still best kept secrets.”
